“The Pacific” US Blu-ray Disc Details

Die neue HBO Miniserie “The Pacific“, über die ich bereits ein paar mal berichtet habe, bekommt (mal wieder) ein neues Blu-ray Disc Release Datum. So soll die komplette Serie mit ihren 10 Folgen in einem Metal-Pack am 2. November in den USA im Handel erscheinen.

Nach dem Erfolg von “Band of Brothers” haben sich Tom Hanks und Steven Spielberg zu einer Art Fortsetzung entschlossen, die den passenden Namen “The Pacific” trägt und die Geschichte des zweiten Weltkriegs nicht wie “Band of Brothers” in Europa, sondern im Pazifik-Raum erzählt, wo die Amerikaner gegen die Japaner gekämpft haben.

The Pacific [Blu-ray] vorbestellen

Auch bei “The Pacific” begleitet der Zuschauer wieder ein paar Soldaten, diesmal aus der 1. Marine Division, in 10 Folgen durch verschiedene Schlachten und Gefechte im Pazifik. Im folgenden die Episoden-Übersicht:

Die zehn Folgen sind auf insgesamt sechs Blu-ray Discs untergebracht. Die englische Tonspur soll ausserdem in DTS HD auf der Disc vorliegen. Nachdem ja in der Vergangenheit schon diverse Trailer veröffentlicht worden sind, gibt es nun auch die ersten Informationen zum Bonusmaterial.

Für Deutschland ist nach wie vor kein Blu-ray Disc Release Datum für “The Pacific” bekannt gegeben worden. Dafür kann die Serie allerdings ab dem 15. Juli immer Donnerstags auf Kabel Eins angeschaut werden. Über News zum deutschen Blu-ray Release halte ich auf dem Laufenden.
