The Big Lebowski US Blu-ray Details

Vor gut einer Woche hatte ich darüber berichtet, dass “The Big Lebowski” in Kanada auf Blu-ray Disc mit dem Release Datum 16. August 2011 bei Amazon.ca aufgetaucht ist. Nun wurde auch das Blu-ray Disc Release in den USA, ebenfalls für den 16.08.11, von Universal angekündigt. Neben einem weiteren Blu-ray Disc Cover sind nun auch die Details zum “The Big Lebowski” US Blu-ray Release bekannt gegeben worden.

Das bereits für Kanada angekündigte Blu-ray Disc Release wird in einem Digibook daher kommen, was insgesamt 28 Seiten lang sein wird. Das Booklet selbst wird Fotos und Sprüche aus dem Film beinhalten. Außerdem gibt es auch ein Interview mit Jeff Dowd, der als Vorlage für den Dude herhalten durfte. Das Digibook Blu-ray Disc Relase von “The Big Lebowski” in den USA wird nur für eine limitierte Zeit erhältlich sein, wie groß die Auflage sein wird ist jedoch unbekannt.

Weiterhin hat Universal bekannt gegeben, dass “The Big Lebowski” einem Remastering für den Transfer auf Blu-ray Disc unterzogen worden ist. Der Film wird im originalen Kinoformat von 1.85:1 auf der Blu-ray Disc vorliegen. Neben einer englischen DTS HD MA 5.1 Tonspur soll es auch noch eine digitale Kopie mit dazu geben. Das mitgelieferte Bonusmaterial fällt sehr umfangreich aus und wird neben Features des “The Big Lebowski” DVD Releases auch neues Material beinhalten. Im folgenden die Übersicht der Extras:

Angesichts der guten Ausstattung des “The Big Lebwoski” Blu-ray Disc Releases und den zahlreichen Extras kann man nur hoffen, dass Universal dieses limitierte Digibook in gleicher Form auch in Deutschland auf den Markt bringen wird. Sobald es weitere Anzeichen und News für das deutsche Blu-ray Disc Release gibt, werde ich selbstverständlich wieder darüber berichten.
